Churches within HCBAV engage in the Operation Christmas Child (Shoebox) effort without coordination from the association.
HCBAV hopes to evaluate opportunities to engage – or engage more deeply – in Samaritan’s Purse/BGEA Rapid Response Chaplains through their Lighthouse Church program.
There may also be times when HCBAV will organize volunteers from the churches to respond to disasters, and perhaps house volunteers as they travel through Henry County enroute to/from disaster response efforts.
Another potential effort is to work with our churches to build a cadre of ‘chaplains’ to provide more effective hand-off ministry from the BGEA chaplains during a local disaster.
