Keep up with local news throughout HCBAV through current and archived editions of our local newsletters, Baptist Blast, and The Caller and by going to individual HCBAV church websites and social media pages.
You can also keep up with state-wide news through two conventions, the SBCV and BGAV, with free subscriptions to their monthly newsletters.
HCBAV church members are encouraged to keep up with national news of the Southern Baptist Convention through the Baptist Press and The Baptist Paper.
Here are two articles on the mission of local Baptist Associations: What Happens If Associations Cease to Exist and Baptist Associations & Advanced Christianity, posted with permission by the author.
Here is a good series of articles on The Nicene Creed that came out in the March 27 edition of The Baptist Paper. It was written by A.J. Smith, PhD in church history from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. If you are not familiar with The Nicene Creed, or do not understand the concept of creeds, this would be a good introduction – and then some: The Nicene Creed: A Confession of Faith
We also encourage our church members to keep up with the North American Missions Board (NAMB), the Southern Baptist Convention’s missionary-sending arm, with a free subscription to their magazine, On Mission.
But, don’t just subscribe; get involved. Christianity is a faith of GOing and DOing in the name our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
