MEN’S MINISTRY

First Step: Hometown Men’s Fellowship Bible Study – Martinsville Raceway, September 11, 2025. Check our Events Calendar to get final details on this new Bible study.

OBJECTIVES: To get men connected to the church and bring them together revolving around the use of the masculine arts to help elderly, widows, disabled and others who need, but cannot afford home repairs, car repairs, yard repairs, help to collect firewood, or any number of other ways.

GOALS: Build relationships between real men of God, help them step up to encourage and mentor each other; and encourage them to mentor boys to grow up to be Godly men.

LONG-TERM GOAL: To build a formal program for mentoring boys into responsible men of God, such as Trail Life USA

NEXT STEPS: Find one anointed leader and a small group of men to coordinate and build this effort.

Energize Ministries and Hometown Foundation will be starting a Bible Study for men of all ages – including sons – to come together at the Martinsville Speedway for a weekly Bible Study. The current plan is to start this on Tuesday, September 11, 2025. We will begin a public relations campaign around mid-August. So, be watching for that and for any changes from the current plan. Rev Rocky Rockwell, HCBAV’s Associational Missionary has agreed to be one of four moderators of this effort, and this may help us to launch our men’s ministry.

If you can help, want to take part, or have any questions or suggestions, please contact Rocky.
