International Holocaust Remembrance Day

April 24

The day the world recognizes and remembers the Holocaust during which Nazi Germany killed 6 Million Jewish people.

This is also Yom HaShoah, the Day of Holocaust Remembrance for the Jewish people, the 27th day of the month of Nisan on the Jewish calendar (commemorated on the 26th Day of Nisan for 2025). It was chosen because it is the midpoint between the first day of Passover, which was the date of the Warsaw Uprising, and Yom Hazikaron, the day that Israel remembers their fallen soldiers, the 4th day of the month of Iyyar on the Jewish calendar.
